The modern picture is taken slightly nearer the church (note that the steeple has gone) as there has been a considerable growth of trees which prevented an exact comparison.

During the 1930's a picture was taken of a group of locals in the pub. In 1999 Richard Telford-Baillie recreated the picture with the current locals.

The old post office prior to its closure and after its restoration. In the left top picture it is the thatched building on the right, in the more modern one it is shielded by trees.

Jupes cottage stood just past the driveway (to Shalfleet Manor). It was demolished in 1956 to enable the road to be widened.
